Chamber orchestra of the Bavarian Philharmonics
January 2008, the Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Philharmonic was founded. With 16 outstanding members of the Young Munich Philharmonics it is the first professional orchestra of the Bavarian Philharmonic e.V.. Musical director of the orchestra is Mark Mast.
Incentivized by the opening of the Kempten City Theater in October 2007, where the musicians had been engaged, the fifth ensemble of the association was established. Concerts already led the ensemble through Germany, Europe and Russia.
The Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Philharmonics concerted in 2014 on the MS Germany and presented in 2015, among others, the program Mozart+. The performance of the ensemble at the Orff Days 2015 of the Bavarian Philharmonics attracted much attention.
Several concerts were broadcast by radio stations. The repertoire of the Chamber Orchestra of the Bavarian Philharmonic includes works from all eras – from baroque, classical, romantic to contemporary compositions.
