Abba Naor

Abba Naor

The patron of the composition competition is Abba Naor.

Deported at the age of 13 to the ghetto of Kaunas, he is one of the last survivors of the Holocaust and personally knew many musicians of the DP-Orchestra from his Lithuanian homeland.

We acknowledge the extraordinary honor that is given to us by Abba Naor, Vice-President of the International Dachau Committee, with his willingness to become the patron of the Wolf Durmashkin Composition Award 2018.
